Starting BJJ at Daniel Gracie Mainline has been the most positive transformative action I have taken since I wandered into those middle years of my life. There is no way to express to you how my lifestyle has changed since signing on with Coach Jason Santiago. The confidence I had as a younger man has returned and I just feel better about who I am. With BJJ not only do you learn a form of self-defense, but you become physically and mentally fit. You find yourself being part of something bigger, being part of a team. A team where you develop relationships that stretch far beyond the edges of the mat, a second family that celebrates each other’s achievements and is also there to comfort each other when need be. I urge you all to try a free class, meet some of the people, and start making that positive change you are looking for.

My son and I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Coach Jason for over 4 years. His teaching style is fantastic. You learn the art of Jiu Jitsu as well as real world self defense. The atmosphere is open and welcoming, even to an out of shape Dad with no previous martial arts experience. His new location in Berwyn is convenient and perfect for training. The atmosphere is both respectful of the art and fun. That’s not an easy balance to achieve. If you’re looking for a great way to get in shape, shake off the stress of the day and meet some excellent people, this is the place.

Coach Jason Santiago provides us with expert private and class-based Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and American Kenpo Karate instruction, while the entire Daniel Gracie Main Line Team provides a supportive and friendly environment. Coach Jason is highly knowledgeable, patient and responsive. His classes for adults and children provide excellent physical and mental conditioning. More importantly, Coach Jason makes sure to prepare his students well for class-based and competitive sparring, as well as real life situations. There is always a realistic and practical component to every lesson taught, which is important for all people, but especially for women and children. His goal is to make all students, regardless of skill level, gender or age, feel as though they have learned something useful and helpful in every class.

Owner Jason has tailored applicable lessons for me and my friend. As young women we feel far more confident and prepared for an otherwise stressful scenario. Jason couples exciting repetitions with corresponding explanations of how different maneuvers help diffuse violence.
